The Basics...

In this video, Dr. Abigail Hirsch will introduce you to the core Talking skills we teach at Power of Two. These Say It skills, as we call them, wil help you share what's on your mind in a way that opens positive, forward moving and productive conversations.

There are three primary Say It skills that will enable you to talk in a way that's easy for your spouse to hear. In turn, skilled talking leads to productive conversation and builds a sense of intimacy and connection.

The three basic Say It skills are:

  • Avoid Crossovers
  • Use Would Like To
  • Share Feelings

This unit focuses on the first of those three: avoiding Crossovers.
